Made in a siliconized thermosensitive polyvinyl chloride tube with a special sliding finish to avoid irritation to the mucosa and facilitate its passage through other tubes. Easy to handle for implementation, due to its flexibility. Its distal end is open and rounded, to prevent injuries to the pleural cavity during use.

It is used to remove air (pneumothorax) or fluid (pleural effusion, chylothorax, etc.) or pus (empyema) from the intrathoracic space.
